Whatever Happened To… Starland Vocal Band?

Afternoon Delight – Starland Vocal Band (1976)
This DC-based band rode out the soft rock wave of the 70’s but disbanded in 1980, unable to match the success of this hit, their debut single. Leaders Bill Danoff & Taffy Nivert, a husband & wife songwriting team who’d scored several hits for John Denver, divorced shortly after the band split. Danoff continued to write songs for other artists and release his own music. Other band members Jon Carroll & Margot Chapman also married (and later divorced). Carroll went on to have a successful career, both as a solo artist and session musician (most notably for Mary Chapin Carpenter).
