Hold On – Kansas (1980)
This American band, distinguished by its use of symphonic elements in its sound, rode the wave of popularity of album-oriented rock (AOR) in the late 70’s. This album saw the sunset of their commercial peak, and the band went through successive line-up changes throughout the 80’s (including disbanding for a couple years). In the 90’s, most of the original line-up reunited to tour, and the band (in some form) has been going ever since. Their most recent studio album came out in 2000 (a live album in 2009), and with three original members in their current line-up, they continue to tour regularly.
