Whatever Happened To… Primitive Radio Gods?

Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in my Hand – Primitive Radio Gods (1996)
This American band consisted of an individual (front-man Chris O’Connor) when this album was released; however, when this track received heavy airplay, O’Connor recruited additional members to fill out the band. Despite problems with their record label – and eventually being dropped by them – they continued to release albums. In 2001, songwriter/bassist Jeff Sparks left the band to start a production company, which has seen him work on films, commercials, and documentaries. O’Connor continued releasing PRG albums independently, primarily via their website. Their most recent release came out in 2010.
