Don’t Pull Your Love – Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds (1971)
This American trio, originally comprised of Dan Hamilton, Joe Frank Carollo, and Tommy Reynolds, scored a US Top 5 hit with their debut single. But their follow-ups fizzled, and Reynolds left the group in 1973. Alan Dennison was drafted to replace Reynolds, but the group’s name went unchanged and they returned to land their biggest hit in 1975. For their final album, they inserted Dennison’s name but they disbanded in 1980. Hamilton died from a stroke in 1994. Carollo went on to form Papa Joe & the World Famous Assistants. Reynolds returned to the music business to perform steel drums; he released an album in 2010.
