Whatever Happened To… When in Rome?

Browse & purchase this albumThe Promise – When in Rome (1988)
This English band – originally a trio comprised of Clive Farrington, Michael Floreale & Andrew Mann – found international success with this, their debut single & album. But it turned out to be their only release when they parted ways around 1990. Band members went on to pursue other projects, both in front of and behind the microphone. In 2006, Floreale recruited vocalist John Ceravolo to launch a new incarnation of When in Rome in the US, which has evolved into more of a rock outfit. Meanwhile in the UK, Farrington & Mann launched another incarnation in 2009, which has run into legal problems (since the US incarnation owns the trademark on the band’s name). Apparently when in Rome…go to the courthouse. ;-/
