Hip to be Square – Huey Lewis & the News (1986)
This American band, led by Hugh Cregg III, helped define 80’s pop culture. Not only due to their chart-topping records, but also for their quirky, popular videos that found welcoming audiences on MTV. Their commercial popularity began to wane as the 80’s closed, but they’ve continued to perform and record over the years. A few line-up changes occurred during the 90’s, but four founding members remain with the band today. In 2009, they celebrated their 30th anniversary, and they released their latest studio album the following year. They continue to tour to an adoring fan base.
