This British band, founded & led by Ian Anderson, became known for their live performances and artful incorporation of various styles (classical, folk, electronic & blues) into rock music. Both their commercial and critical success flourished during the 70’s and 80’s, but they continued to release work regularly throughout the 90’s. Their last album of original material came out in 1999, but they’ve toured around the world extensively since, pulling upon their extensive catalog of album-oriented rock (AOR) classics. While Jethro Tull is currently on hiatus, Anderson is touring with many of his JT mates in his supporting band. They can be seen this spring in Europe, and this fall in North America.
