Whatever Happened To… The DeFranco Family?

Browse & purchase this albumHeartbeat (It’s a Lovebeat) – The DeFranco Family featuring Tony DeFranco (1973)
This Canadian band – comprised of five siblings: Benny, Marisa, Nino, Merlina, and Tony – found their greatest success with this hit. They rode the wave of 70’s family acts (The Jackson 5, The Osmonds), and vocalist Tony was a regular on teen magazine covers. But by 1978, with their success waning…and school calling, the group disbanded. The entire family, who’d relocated to southern California, still live there and make occasional special appearances. Tony is now a successful realtor in the region.
