This American band made a name for themselves in the alternative music culture that thrived during the 8o’s. Their New Wave sound relied heavily on synthesizers, which found a welcome home in dance and underground clubs. They released four studio albums before calling it quits in 1993. Book of Love have reunited for occasional special performances over the years, and they enjoyed a resurgence of popularity in 2000 when this track was remixed, re-released, and reached the top of the US dance chart. Keyboardist Ted Ottaviano went on to form the duo Doubleplusgood, which has gained moderate exposure over the years. Ottaviano has also worked with fellow BOL member Lauren Roselli in the trio The Myrmidons. Their latest EP came out this past February.
